Tangoe, which acquired Indy-based MOBI in 2018, has named James Parker chief executive officer.
Parker, who most recently served as CEO and executive director of Texas-based software company Masergy, succeeds interim CEO Dave Hansen, who will resume his role as chairman of the Tangoe Board of Directors.
“Finding the right leader for this transformative moment in history was an incredibly important undertaking. James understands where we are as a company, and more importantly, our vision for the path forward as we continue to help customers navigate today’s business challenges,” Hansen said in a news release. “James is a seasoned global business leader with a track record of energizing organizations by breaking down barriers to growth and creating a relentless customer-centric focus.”
Parker also previously served in senior leadership roles at Tata Communications, CenturyLink and Microsoft.
The announcement comes nearly two years to the day that Tangoe completed its acquisition of MOBI. While Tangoe’s corporate headquarters remains in New Jersey, its Indianapolis location serves as the headquarters for its global Managed Mobility Services business.
