The state’s second-largest brewery has inked a partnership with Cavalier Distributing to sell some of its beers in bars and liquor stores in the state. Sun King co-owner Clay Robinson says the company sent beer to a Florida festival earlier this year and the response was "overwhelming." The deal involves two of Sun King’s core beers as well as seasonal and specialty beers.
Cavalier says it will distribute beers including SKB IPA, Pachanga and Osiris Pale Ale. Specialty and seasonal beers will include Gin Dreams, The Afterparty, Razzleblaster Busey, The Velvet Fog, GFJ IPA and Freedom Rock.
Cavalier Distributing specializes in American craft and import beers. The Florida-based company distributes in Florida, Indiana and Ohio and has more than 350 employees throughout the three states.
Earlier this year, Sun King announced it would invest up to $2.5 million to build a new specialty production craft brewery and tap room at The Yard culinary and entertainment district in Fishers. The facility is expected to open in the summer of 2019. Officials held a groundbreaking ceremony for The Yard this month.
