Leadership Indianapolis will host its first Civic Leadership Summit next week in downtown Indianapolis. The event is designed to engage civic leaders to take on central Indiana’s most pressing issues. ExactTarget co-founder Scott Dorsey will keynote the inaugural event. In a Studio(i) interview, Leadership Indianapolis Chief Executive Officer Linda Kirby explains the reasons behind the summit.

The organization says Dorsey, who is now managing partner at Indianapolis-based startup studio High Alpha, will discuss how he fostered a deep connection among ExactTarget, its employees and the Indianapolis community. The event will also feature breakout sessions focused on issues including K-12 education, youth engagement and food deserts.

The summit is set for Monday, October 12 at the Omni Severin hotel.
