Steff: IoT is ‘Ours to Lead’

Ian Steff is one of the speakers at today’s IndyIoT summit at Launch Fishers, and says Indiana’s industries must work together to capitalize on the opportunities the sector presents. Steff joins executives from companies including Tom Farms, Delta Faucet Co. and Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) as well as elected officials from throughout the state at today’s event.
Fishers-based CloudOne Inc. Chief Executive Officer John McDonald, who helped organize IndyIoT, says the Internet of Things concept plays especially well with Indiana’s top industries, including agriculture, advanced manufacturing and logistics.
McDonald says IotT technology has practical economic uses, ranging from farmers measuring soil samples in real-time to logistics companies tracking their fleets and checking for mechanical or efficiency issues.
