State Releases Strategic Workforce Plan

The Governor’s Workforce Cabinet says the draft will serve as the combined plan under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act for the next four years.
The Governor’s Workforce Cabinet coordinated with several state agencies, including the Family and Social Services Administration, Department of Workforce Development, Department of Corrections and four others. Several non-profit and private organizations, and members of the public also helped with the plan.
Indiana’s State Combined Plan includes the six WIOA Core programs: Adult, Dislocated Worker, Youth, Wagner-Peyser, Adult Education, and Vocational Rehabilitation, along with partner programs:
- Career and Technical Education Programs-Perkins Act
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Program
- Trade Adjustment Assistance for Workers Programs
- Jobs for Veterans State Grant Program
- Senior Community Service Employment Program
- Unemployment Insurance Programs
- Employment and Training programs under the Supplemental Nutrition and Assistance Program
Comments on the plan will be sought beginning February 6, and running till March 8. A draft of the plan can be found here.
