STAF LLC licensed DupeBuster, which automates the finding and merging of duplicate records in CRM systems.
DupeBuster was developed by Jack Betten, associate director of the Purdue University Office of Enrollment Management and Reporting to address the management of duplicate records in a CRM system used for recruiting undergraduate students. Betten owns STAF LLC, which licensed DupeBuster through the Purdue Research Foundation Office Technology Commercialization.
"The CRM system uses email, postal mailings and interactive Web pages to automate recruitment communications with prospective students," he said. "Records are constantly being created either by the importing files or by individuals, which results in a significant number of duplicate records."
Betten says DupeBuster can prevent individuals from receiving multiple copies of the same communication or receiving conflicting communications. DupeBuster was created to automate the merging processes already in place and has been used by other universities for four years.
Betten says STAF LLC has already been in conversations with other providers interested in using DupeBuster and is looking to sell the application directly to other organizations.
