Star Financial owners honored as Red Coat recipients

The recognition is given annually to individuals who have made a positive impact on the Fort Wayne region and the state.
Star Financial Group, Inc., the parent company of Star Financial Bank, has 36 locations throughout Indiana and boasts $3.11 billion in assets. The company is owned and operated by the Marcuccilli family.
“They have both played a key role in driving Star Bank’s exceptional corporate citizenship over the years,” Mad Anthonys Board President Sherri Miller said in a news release. “We’re thankful for their leadership making our community, our city and our region an outstanding place to call home.”
Jim Marcuccilli has been a United Way of Allen County Campaign Chairman and has served on the board of directors for the Indiana State Chamber, Steel Dynamics Inc., the University of Notre Dame Science Advisory, Junior Achievement Foundation, IU Health Foundation, SDI Foundation and YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne.
Tom Marcuccilli has worked on boards at The Embassy Theater, Arts United, Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion-Grant County Chamber of Commerce, Marion Aero Club, YMCA of Grant County, Marion Philharmonic Orchestra, St. Paul/Bennett School in Marion and the former Fort Wayne-Allen County Economic Development Alliance.
The pair will be honored at its annual gala Oct. 7 at the Pine Valley Country Club in Fort Wayne.
