The St. Vincent Foundation will receive a $1 million donation from a national celebrity during a groundbreaking ceremony this week. The money will support the St. Vincent House, a hospitality home for extended stay patient families.

Officials say the donation will allow St. Vincent to break ground on the facility six months ahead of schedule. The house will include private accommodations for up to 20 extended-stay patient families. It will also include laundry facilities, kitchens, a playground, chapel and gathering spaces.

The groundbreaking is set for Thursday at 10:30 a.m. The site of the future St. Vincent House is located at the intersection of Dugan Road & Naab Road, on the campus of St. Vincent Indianapolis.
