The health system says Parod, who has served in the role on an interim basis since February, will be responsible for "advancing St. Vincent’s mission of service in Evansville and the Warrick County Tri-State area."
Prior to being named interim president, Parod had served as chief operating officer of the southwest region since August 2016. St. Vincent says Parod has been key in the continued development of several projects, including the St. Vincent Orthopedic Hospital, which is slated to open in May 2019.
"Dan brings nearly 25 years of experience in healthcare leadership to this role," said Cheryl Harmon, chief operating officer for St. Vincent. "His extensive background in clinical integration, human resources, performance improvement, leading change and shaping culture makes him an ideal fit for this opportunity."
Parod previously served as the senior vice president and chief operating officer of Rockford Health System in Illinois.
