(Nasdaq: ESCA), a sporting goods and recreation equipment provider, has completed the acquisition of the Brunswick Billiards business in Wisconsin. While financial terms were not disclosed, Escalade says Brunswick Billiards will help it further expand its product offering and consumer reach.
“The addition of the iconic Brunswick Billiards brand to Escalade’s portfolio elevates our market leadership,” said Escalade Chief Executive Officer Walt Glazer. “The talented teams from Brunswick Billiards, Escalade, and Life Fitness worked very well together bringing this transaction to a close. We now look forward to providing our dealers and consumers with great quality and value across our broad offering of game tables and accessories.”
The company says Brunswick Billiards will continue to be based in Wisconsin and led by General Manager John Kazik and his management team.
In an interview with Inside INdiana Business earlier this month, Glazer said Escalade has the ability to further grow the more than 175-year-old Brunswick brand.
Brunswick joins other billiards brands under the Escalade umbrella, including American Legend, which Escalade acquired in 2020. The company also owns Cue & Case, which sells billiards accessories to specialty dealers.
