The project, which was first announced in September 2019, has been delayed by the pandemic and workforce challenges.
The Pokagon Band is building the 317-room hotel adjacent to the Four Winds Casino. The project includes the addition of 45,000-square-feet of gaming space to the existing 140,000 square feet.
The Pokagon say the addition was needed, especially since the casino received approval in August 2021 for Class III gaming.
In addition to extra slot machines and table games, the project also includes a new conference and event center. The Pokagon Band says the hotel and casino expansion will create 350 to 400 jobs.
