Newly-appointed SIMBA Chain Chief Executive Officer Bryan Ritchie said van Es will help the blockchain company solidify its strategy and accelerate growth.
“Rob is a truly unique individual in that throughout his career, he’s always been on the leading edge of transformational digital technology,” said Ritchie. “SIMBA Chain is looking at unprecedented opportunities, and Rob is exactly the person we need to crystallize our strategy and accelerate growth in markets where we have the best product-market fit.”
SIMBA Chain says van Es is a tech veteran and brings with him nearly 25 years of experience with early-stage enterprise software companies. He also held positions including vice president for Asia Pacific for Australia-based Illumio and senior vice president of worldwide sales for ARIA Systems, a cloud-based monetization platform company based in San Francisco.
“Blockchain is going to be big,” said van Es. “SIMBA Chain is fortunate in that we have a head start in commercial, government and education markets. Even in hot areas such as NFTs, SIMBA Chain has a significant edge as we have a solution that enables brands to control their own marketplaces, IP and fanbases.”
Earlier this year, SIMBA Chain raised $25 million in Series A funding led by Valley Capital Partners in New York.
