SIA to Drive Bicentennial Torch Relay

Subscribe NowLieutenant Governor Sue Ellspermann has announced Subaru will provide 10 vehicles for the Indiana Bicentennial Torch Relay caravan. The 2,300-mile relay, which will run through all 92 counties, begins one year from today. She made the announcement today at Subaru of Indiana Automotive’s Lafayette headquarters.
Ellspermann was joined by Subaru of Indiana Automotive Executive Vice President Tom Easterday and Indiana Office of Tourism Development Executive Director Mark Newman for today’s announcement.
The fleet of Outback and Legacy models will feature Bicentennial decals and escort the torch on its 92-county journey. The vehicles will be returned to Subaru after the relay.
The relay begins in Corydon on September 9, 2016. The Indiana Office of Tourism Development is currently accepting nominations for torchbearers.
