INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Community Health Network Foundation officials today announced Yvonne Shaheen will receive the Jack Heiney Award for Philanthropic Leadership at The Giving Gig, a sold-out cancer fundraising event held February 15, 2014.
Well-known throughout the state for her generosity, Shaheen was selected to receive the award in recognition of her leadership, compassion and deep commitment to Community Health Network and the patients it serves. A Community Health Network Foundation donor, she has served on multiple Community boards and committees for over two decades.
“Yvonne's service to Community Health Network echoes her commitment to countless other non-profits that have each benefited from her leadership and volunteerism,” said Joyce Irwin, Community Health Network Foundation’s president and CEO. “Thanks to Yvonne, central Indiana is a better place, and she undeniably deserves to receive Community’s greatest honor.”
In addition to her service to Community, Shaheen also supports numerous central Indiana non-profits, lending her talents as a board member and fundraising leader.
