The project, known as The George, will include 192 luxury apartments and more than 10,000 square feet of retail space.
The firm plans to acquire the land at 1409 Main Street in Clarksville next month, and construction is expected to begin no later than Sept. 30.
“We are excited about the opportunity to provide a vital housing option for the Town of Clarksville” Denton Floyd President Mitch Collins said in a news release. “Clarksville continues to realize significant economic and job growth, and we are excited to build a ‘best-in-class’ apartment community in the South Clarksville TIF district.”
The George will include a variety of amenities, including micro-office spaces, a community clubhouse, 24-hour fitness center, and EV charging stations.
A spokesperson for Denton Floyd told Inside INdiana Business the firm is not disclosing the cost of the project at this time. However, it is one of two mixed-use projects that are part of a $226 million investment announced a year ago.
Denton Floyd has already completed its first Clarksville project, Current812, which is now open and leasing.
In its January 2023 announcement, Denton Floyd said it also had plans for a 198-room luxury hotel and convention center, including a rooftop restaurant and resort-style pool. However, the spokesperson told IIB there are no updates on that proposal.
