The economic development organization and chamber of commerce for Clark and Floyd counties has appointed a 10-member search committee to fill the role being left by Wendy Dant Chesser.
The organization last month retained Waverly Partners as its executive search firm.
Bryan Wickens, executive vice president and general counsel of MAC Construction & Engineering and 1si Board chair, will head the search committee.
Our committee has developed a Position Profile with the experience and leadership characteristics of our preferred candidate,” Wickens said in a news release. “We are open to executives with backgrounds in economic development, chambers of commerce, business associations, other kinds of nonprofits, private sector, or related experience with a commitment to our mission of economic growth and business advocacy in our region.”
Wendy Dant Chesser, who has led 1si for over 10 years, will step down on Thursday. After that, she will head to the River Ridge Development Authority to be the chief director of corporate strategy and external affairs. She lead 1si for over 10 years.
