The boards were created to provide input on critical public policy issues unique to their respective regions.
Fish is joining the Regional Policy Board 5, which covers Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin.
The AHA says the boards, which meet three times a year, foster “communication between the AHA, its members and state hospital associations” and provide public policy guidance on issues considered by the AHA Board of Trustees.
Fish called being selected to represent the local community at the state and national levels an honor.
“This is a critically important time of transformation in healthcare,” Fish said in a news release. “Current initiatives and decisions being made at the federal and state levels will be important for our patients and all citizens of this region and state. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute in this new role.”
Fish joined Schneck in 2005 and founded Schneck Obstetrics & Gynecology in 2006. He was named president and CEO in 2020. He is also a member of the Indiana Rural Health Association Board of Directors.
