Indianapolis-based Salin Bank & Trust Company plans to expand its commercial loan division. President James Alender says the expansion will enable the bank to "work smarter" and provide faster loan approvals and more competitive deposit products.

The expansion will include commercial & industrial banking, commercial real estate banking and agricultural banking.

The company has also announced several new hires. Salin Bank’s new commercial banking team includes:

• Terri Gill, CCIM, Senior Vice President, Commercial Real Estate Manager & Community Banking Market President
• Kevin Megli, Vice President, Commercial Banking
• Moises Lopez, Vice President, Commercial Banking
• Marie Horning, Vice President, Treasury Management

Meanwhile, Salin Bank has promoted Matt Maher to Senior Vice President, Acting Chief Credit Officer.
