In a notice to the state, the college says it will lay off eight employees beginning in June, in addition to the more than 415 jobs that have been cut since February.
Five of the newly-announced cuts will take place June 30, with the remaining employees being let go August 31. Some of the affected positions include the sports information director, housekeepers, registrar and accounting manager.
The college detailed its financial issues last year when it announced it was suspending campus activities. Last month, Saint Joe announced it was voluntarily resigning its accreditation with the Higher Learning Commission.
Saint Joe first announced the elimination of 36 jobs in February, followed by more than 300 others in early March, most of which were student workers. Two additional layoff announcements were made in mid-March and April.
