Subscribe NowFishers-based RQAW Corp. has named Joy Ariza (pictured) staff engineer for the water resources department. He previously worked for E&M Automation as an automation engineer. While there, Ariza gained experience working on control and instrumentation projects for the water and wastewater industry. Among his projects at E&M he designed supervisory control and data acquisition systems for city water pump stations in Panama City, Panama. Ariza received his bachelor of science in electromechanical engineering from the Technological University of Panama, in Panama City, Panama.
Rose McClimans has joined the firm as bridge engineer. She previously worked at CHA Consulting as an assistant engineer. McClimans has experience in rehabilitation and retro-fitting bridge projects. Her experience in these areas has helped her develop unique solutions to a variety of projects. McClimans received her bachelor of science degree in structural civil engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
Ben Sass has been named a graduate architect in the firm’s La Porte architecture department. He previously worked at C.R. Stafford and Associates as an architectural intern. Sass received his bachelor of science degree in architecture and received a minor in sustainability from Ball State.
Also, Randy Smiley (pictured) has been named a project designer for the water resources department. With more than 30 years of project design experience, he has worked for Gooderum and Associates, Hamill-Mullan Group and Duke Realty Corp. His primary role over the past 30 years has been project designer. Smiley has experience in architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and site design. He has received numerous professional certifications over the years.
