Rose-Hulman Names Center For Diversity Director

Subscribe NowRose-Hulman Institute of Technology has named its first-ever full-time director for its Center for Diversity. Janice Fenn comes to Rose-Hulman with 25 years of experience in implementing diversity programs for companies including Kraft Foods, Sara Lee and Quaker Oats.
Fenn’s duties at Rose-Hulman will include establishing goals and programs to develop and sustain an environment of inclusion and support for students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds. The institute says Fenn will also develop programs that promote cultural change in the area of diversity within the institute.
“Janice Fenn combines a wealth of experience with valuable organizational and community skills to work with our Diversity Council in the development of a diversity plan that shapes, defines, and embraces the institute’s vision of diversity, and provide active support for achieving that vision,” said Rose-Hulman President Jim Conwell. “She also will provide guidance to the Office of Human Resources as our resident authority on diversity in hiring practices and diversity training.”
Fenn begin her new position January 4. She comes to Rose-Hulman after serving as a diversity practice leader for The Professional Resources Organization in Lisle, Illinois. She has also served as an adjunct professor at Benedictine University since 2012.
