The RRDA is not disclosing the name of the developer during negotiations. However, the firm has indicated plans to build one or more industrial buildings, totaling up to 1 million square feet, at the site.
“We are excited about the opportunity to bring more jobs and economic development to Southern Indiana,” Jerry Acy, executive director of the RRDA, said in a news release. “The River Ridge Development Authority remains committed to attracting top developers and companies to our growing community.”
The RRDA says the funding generated from the sale would be used for operations and further developing to attract more businesses to southern Indiana.
