Ribbon cutting set for Indianapolis senior living community

Jeffersonville-based Denton Floyd Real Estate Group and Vitality Senior Services in Louisville, Kentucky are opening Avalon Senior Living, located at 6021 S. Arlington Ave.
The three-story, 131-unit assisted living and memory care community includes one- and two-bedroom units, as well as a separate memory care unit. The facility includes a variety of amenities such as a movie theater, hair salon, therapy gym, and a private park with walking paths.
Construction took about 2 and a half years to complete. Financial details of the project investment were not disclosed, but the development will create 32 full-time jobs, a spokesperson told Inside INdiana Business.
A public kickoff event will run from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, with a formal program starting at 4:30.
