The Venture Club of Indiana will Thursday evening hold its Innovation Showcase Regional Pitch Competition in Evansville. The event will feature local entrepreneurs and growth potential companies presenting their ideas to a panel of judges for the opportunity to advance to the statewide competition.

The companies will each give 60 second elevator pitches to the judges, who will then select finalists to present five minute pitches. One winner will receive a $1,200 prize package from Gutwein Law for free legal services.

The winning company will also move on to the INX event in Indianapolis in September. The Venture Club of Indiana will hold its statewide Innovation Showcase at the event, where companies will pitch their ideas for a $100,000 prize package, giving them additional exposure to angel and venture investors from throughout the state.

The regional event in Evansville is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. at Innovation Pointe. The Growth Alliance for Greater Evansville is co-hosting the event alongside the Venture Club of Indiana, InGen, and Evansville Tech on Tap.
