Regenstrief Names Interim Chief

Subscribe NowIndianapolis-based Regenstrief Institute says Dr. Umberto Tachinardi will Monday assume the role of interim president and chief executive officer, succeeding Dr. Peter Embi, who announced his resignation in September. Embi will chair Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Department of Biomedical Informatics starting in January.
Tachinardi was named interim chief in October.
Tachinardi is part of the institute’s senior leadership team, serving as Chief Information Officer. He is also a research scientist with the Clem McDonald Center for Biomedical Informatics at Regenstrief.
Tachinardi joined Regenstrief and the IU School of Medicine in 2019 having worked at the School of Medicine and Public Health at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
