The university says the new agreement will allow for certain Iowa Lakes students to transfer coursework and credits into the bachelor’s degree program at Purdue Global.
Purdue Global says Iowa Lakes students’ graduating with an associate of arts, associate of science or associate of applied science degree and a cumulative grade-point average of 2.0 or higher will be able to transfer. Students graduating with an Iowa Lakes associate degree will transfer with junior status and guaranteed admission into their preferred field.
Purdue Global Chancellor Frank Dooley says the university’s goal is a smooth transfer of credits.
“This commitment strongly supports the concept of seamless transfer that embraces the principle that transfer students should not be required to repeat courses for learning they have already demonstrated and achieved. We offer many options for obtaining a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree, and look forward to welcoming Iowa Lakes students to the Purdue family.”
The university says transferring Iowa Lakes students will also receive a 20 percent tuition discount on undergraduate programs and a 14 percent discount on graduate programs.
