Amid rising cases of COVID-19 in the state, the organizations say the app, KeepOthersSafe, can also track test results and connect to support tools and resources.
Purdue says the app is fully-HIPAA compliant app and is currently being used by employees at the Purdue Research Foundation. The self-monitoring app is also intended to help users understand community expectations and healthy behaviors.
“We have learned through our experiences in protecting the Purdue campus this fall that it is critically important that all individuals monitor symptoms daily, engage with healthcare providers to get tested, and isolate or quarantine depending on test results or close contact with others who have tested positive,” said David Broecker, executive director of the Innovation Partners Institute. “KeepOthersSafe helps facilitate these important behaviors through daily reminders and communication tools to stop the spread of the virus.”
KeepOthersSafe was developed by MavenSphere founder and Chief Executive Officer Bharath Bynagari.
“Through our development platform, we were able to quickly create a customizable tool to support individuals based on a set of interactive questions and work flow following current COVID-19 guidelines,” said Bynagari. “The entire process takes less than a minute and is facilitated through a secure, HIPPA compliant administrative portal.”
