Purdue@WestGate is hosting its Indiana Autonomous Day. The event includes live technology demonstrations of hands-free, driverless machines in action.
Purdue says more than ten startup companies will showcase their projects related to artificial intelligence, autonomous systems and Internet of Things (IoT).
“By making this event open to the public, our intention is to provide an opportunity for everyone to learn more about how autonomy and AI positively impact mobility, agriculture/farming, 5G/IoT, public roadways and more,” said Ben Wrightsman, president and chief executive officer of the Battery Innovation Center.
The event includes a Tesla test drive, drone races and demonstrations, a driverless tractor demonstration, and an autonomous de-icing machine for roadways.
“This is going to be an event you don’t want to miss, especially for those curious about what is happening around WestGate, where the BIC is located,” said Wrightsman.
