Purdue Among Top Agriculture Universities
The tuition and fee recommendations will now go to the Executive Committee for a May 31 public hearing

The list, created by U.K.-based QS Intelligence Unit, is based on criteria including academic reputation, employer reputation and research impact.
Purdue ranks eighth on the list and is the only Indiana institution featured. The ranking is the same for the university as last year’s list and Purdue says it has stayed in the top 10 since the list’s inception in 2010.
"While I have said many times that we do not chase rankings, I am proud of the role that our faculty, students and staff play in making this one of the 10 best colleges of agriculture and forestry in the world," said Jay Akridge, Glenn W. Sample Dean of Agriculture at Purdue. "The reputation we enjoy is because of our people, past and present, all of whom have a fundamental role in delivering the excellence for which our college is known globally."
Wageningen University in the Netherlands ranks at the top of the list for 2017, followed by the University of California – Davis, Cornell University, the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and the University of California – Berkeley. You can view the full list by clicking here.
Last year, Purdue was also featured on the 2016/2017 QS World University Rankings at number 92. The University of Notre Dame was also included at number 203, followed by Indiana University Bloomington at 291. You can view the full list below:
