Program Centers on Women-Run Digital Businesses

Subscribe NowA program designed to rapidly boost women-owned digital business toward viability is open for registration. The Women’s Entrepreneurial Opportunity Center in Fort Wayne says its Launch Women Business Builder Program participants will validate business models, develop a minimum viable product and build a management team through the initiative. Up to 10 individuals and five companies can participate.
A first cohort of phase one of the WEOC program recently wrapped up and digital businesses built include an art gallery and studio, a virtual Pilates venture and a sample ordering app for interior designers. Sample Snap founder Melissa Hall, who participated in the inaugural cohort, said "it pushed me beyond my comfort level and know-how, toward funding and actual release to the marketplace. The NIIC and WEOC teams have been great support to me and have provided access to valuable resources, including people and programs."
In addition to the expertise and resources provided by the WEOC, the program offers "fast testing" of business ideas and concepts, as well as peer-to-peer mentoring through the connections made from the program.
