Fort Wayne Company to Add Jobs

Guardian Machine Protection LLC, which provides preventive maintenance services for industrial machinery in the manufacturing industry, has announced plans to add up to 170 jobs.
Greater Fort Wayne Inc. says Guardian Machine Protection was born in 2011 out of "a need to provide a solution to a common pain point in the manufacturing sector." Yan Wall, founder and chief executive officer of Guardian, says the company provides proactive, basic preventive maintenance.
"Business owners and maintenance managers turn to Guardian Machine Protection when their maintenance staffs are too busy attending to urgent issues. Reactive behavior negatively affects the bottom line," said Wall. "We serve our customers when they need us, and we proactively engage with their teams to plan scheduled downtimes for preventive maintenance."
Guardian Machine Protection plans to hire additional mechanical engineering technicians. The company did not provide a time frame for filling the new positions.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. has offered Guardian up to $1 million in conditional tax credits, which the company will not be eligible to claim until Hoosier workers are hired for the new jobs. Northeast Indiana Works will provide additional hiring and training assistance, while the Fort Wayne City Council will consider additional incentives.
