The company is investing nearly $1 million to install additional equipment at its facility in the town of Etna Green with plans to add up to 10 jobs.
The company said in a news release it will install a second Gema Magic Brand Powder Coating System, which brings multiple benefits for the company’s operations, according to CEO Jamie Visker.
“This new Gema system will bring us superior powder application technology,” Visker said. “These systems really reduce both the amount of powder we use and the amount we lose. Plus we get a cleaner and healthier environment for our employees.”
Winona provides powder coating and e-coat services for a variety of industries, including agriculture, marine, automotive and electrical equipment. The company installed its first Gema system in December.
The company currently employs about 160 people at its 167,000-square-foot facility in Etna Green, as well as its 50,000-square-foot location in Elkhart. A spokesperson told IIB the new jobs will be added “with an increase in marine segment sales.”
Winona’s investment in the equipment totaled $865,000, and the company secured a more than $145,000 Manufacturing Readiness Grant for the project with the help of Conexus Indiana, the Indiana Economic Development Corp., and the Next Level Manufacturing Institute.
