Our partners at The Times of Northwest Indiana report Dardeau, who previously served as market CEO for Mary Black Health System in South Carolina, will begin his new role February 5.
Dardeau will also serve as market CEO for northwest Indiana. He will oversee all operations for Porter Health Care System, which employs nearly 3,000 people in Porter, Lake, LaPorte, Starke, Newton and Jasper counties.
"When we arrived [for my interview] the whole family was impressed with the community, its people, and the surrounding opportunities both in and outdoors,” Dardeau told The Times. "What sealed the deal for me was the people I met at the hospitals. The boards and medical staffs and directors made an impression on me."
Dardeau succeeds Stephen Lunn, who left the health system in November to become regional vice president of American Physician Partners in Nashville.
