Plymouth Manufacturer Makes $3M in Upgrades

ITAMCO says the move will expand its gear manufacturing capabilities for the drilling, mining and fracking industries.
ITAMCO, one of the largest independent gear manufacturers in the world, produces gears up to 4 meters in diameter and weighing up to 80,000 pounds. The company says the two Kapp Niles gear profile grinding machines "further ITAMCO’s leadership as a precision open-gearing services suppliers to their customers in the energy industries."
The new equipment will be installed in the company’s northern Indiana precision grinding facility. ITAMCO was founded in 1955 and serves the energy, mining, marine and aviation facilities.
