PepsiCo plans to end Muncie operations

As a subscriber you can listen to articles at work, in the car, or while you work out. Subscribe NowPepsiCo is planning to end operations of its Muncie facility at 2901 N. Walnut St. by the end of the year. The company filed a notice with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development last week.
The company currently employs 101 people in its Muncie location, many of which are represented by the Teamster Local 135. Forty-five positions are expected to be eliminated on Dec. 31, according to the notice.
A PepsiCo human resources representative wrote in the notice that the company is working to provide information to affected employees and will work to place them in nearby facilities.
