Parkview staff notified area residents about the hospital’s reopening via its website Monday morning.
The hospital was closed early last Friday morning to ensure the safety of patients and staff, Parkview officials said. Patients were transferred to other locations and planned surgeries were rescheduled.
Parkview officials say the hospital’s air conditioning unit was completely replaced ahead of the hospital’s reopening at 7 a.m. Monday.
“We certainly weren’t anticipating this outage, and teams from across the health system have been working around the clock to restore services,” Parkview Health Regional Market President Greg Johnson said in a statement on the hospital’s website. “The teamwork has been outstanding, and we are incredibly grateful for their dedication to caring for this community.”
