The new family birthing center features ten birthing suites available for new mothers. The ICU features 12 patient beds and advanced technology for treatment.
When the project was announced in October 2014, Parkview Health said the renovations would be completed in phases over four to five years. The project has already seen improvements to the facade of the hospital including replacing windows and cleaning limestone.
The health system also has plans to expand its surgical care center by adding six state-of-the-art surgical suites. It also plans to add a cardiac catheterization lab and enhanced rehabilitation center for inpatient and outpatient services.
