The healthcare clinic network for employers says it plans to open multiple on-site and near-site clinics in Cincinnati. Chief Executive Officer Ben Evans says his company has already met with "several thought-leading employers" in the market and plans call for the first Cincinnati clinics to open next year. One Health currently operates in states including Indiana, Illinois, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Tennessee.
During an interview with Business of Health Reporter Kylie Veleta, co-founder Dr. Jeff Wells said the company is also making strides in data. "Part of the mission of our business is to really radically simplify the healthcare experience for patients and as we work with employers, one of the most important things that they want to know is can we prove that we are really making an impact in the health of their employees and ultimately driving savings," he said. "The only way to do that effectively is to invest in the data, so — in a really secure fashion — we want to be able to look at what’s driving both healthcare cost and just impact in health." Wells adds the company has invested heavily in analytics capabilities.
Some of OurHealth’s clinics in Indiana include OneAmerica, the cities of Indianapolis and Fishers and the Indianapolis Airport Authority. Well says the big sell to customers is improving employee health while lowering employers’ costs. "Our first priority is always to serve our currently customers in the markets in which we already operate, but over time, we certainly have aspirations to grow into a number of markets across the country," Wells said.
Cincinnati marks the third market where OurHealth will offer near-site clinics. You can connect to more about the expansion by clicking here.
