The contract manufacturer of orthopedic implants and devices said Thursday the effort includes a new logo and name branding.
The company previously would go by the name PreMedTec, which will no longer be used. Instead, the company will be branded as Precision Medical Technologies or simply Precision.
“While the word precision refers to accuracy and exactness, it also describes a state or quality of being precise – such as delivering the same result every time it measures the same thing,” President Ryan Thornburgh said in a news release. “As we look to the future of Precision, we’re excited to focus on the connections between the meaning of our name and our brand promise of reliability to our customers and teammates.”
Precision said its new logo represents the company’s 24-hour response times to quotes and what it says are some of the shortest lead times in the industry.
The company specializes in the production of complex assembly implants and instruments, single-use instruments, and various other products in the shoulder, hip, knee, spine, and trauma and extremities markets.
In 2017, Precision said it would invest $5 million to expand its northeast Indiana operations with a facility in Wabash County that would add 60 jobs. The company also has facilities in Warsaw and Rome City.
