Hamilton County, IN initiative has released results of a survey of 135 local business leaders, which organizers say is the first step of a multiphase effort.
The study was conducted by the Hamilton County Business Intelligence Center, a collaboration between Hamilton County Economic Development and Hamilton County Tourism Inc. It found nearly 60 percent of employers surveyed intend to expand over the next three years and 52 percent respondents are having challenges in filling job openings.
Organizers say teams will use the data to identify public-private partnerships that help address needs of the work force by year’s end and begin acting on the suggestions next year.
