He succeeds Dennis Dunham, who also serves as vice president of operations and is planning to retire after 25 years at Oliver.
“Oliver was built on an incredible foundation, and I’m looking forward to having the opportunity not only to continue that vision but build upon it,” said Warren. “I’m excited to apply my knowledge of winemaking from across the globe and grow and innovate the wine program that has been pioneering the sweet wine industry for decades.”
Warren will oversee cellar and winemaking operations, sourcing, vineyard relationships, and Oliver’s winemaking process. The winery says Pete Batule was recently promoted to winery operations director and will work closely with Warren.
The winery announced more than a dozen new hires last year, including Chief Financial Officer Jon Black, Commercial Analyst and Demand Planning Director Andy Gresho, and Vineyard Manager Laura Cleary.
