Ogletree Deakins has elevated Theresa Parish to shareholder. She practices in the firm’s Indianapolis office and is one of 17 attorneys elected to the 2019 class of new shareholders. Parish focuses on labor and employment litigation and counseling. She handles individual claims in agency and court actions, defends clients in administrative proceedings and in federal and state court litigation against claims of age, race, sex, and disability discrimination, wage and hour violations, and retaliation, among others, and has obtained favorable summary judgment rulings in such cases.

Parish also has experience with representing employers in proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the US Department of Labor, and the Indiana Civil Rights Commission, among other agencies.

Parish also represents employers and corporate clients in formal, court-ordered settlement conferences and mediation programs and in informal, voluntary claim resolution negotiations. She advises clients regarding compliance with federal, state, and local law, including Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, FMLA and assists clients in conducting investigations of harassment and employee misconduct.
