Oakland City University names new provost

Robb first joined the southwest Indiana university in 2013, most recently serving as dean and professor in the School of Business. She began her career in education in 1993 and has taught nearly 20 classes in Oakland City University’s business school.
Oakland City University President Ron Dempsey announced Robb’s appointment to faculty members in early December. She will begin in the provost role Jan. 1.
“I have seen education enrich students’ lives through the power of learning,” Robb said in a news release. “I am passionate about teaching and impacting change towards making improvements, which is why becoming provost at OCU is a perfect fit for me.”
Dempsey called Robb an “inspiring educator and leader” since her arrival to the university.
Robb earned her Doctor of Education degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She also earned master’s degrees in education and accounting from Indiana Wesleyan University.
