Organizers say the event in Chicago will focus on "unlocking the economic potential" of northwest Indiana, northeast Illinois and southeast Wisconsin.
The third annual Summit on Regional Competitiveness is scheduled for Friday, October 23 in Chicago. Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker will be one of the featured speakers. Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Commission Executive Director Ty Warner will also take part. Other presentations will focus on grant opportunities and the future of rail and air logistics in the region.
