NTN Driveshaft Inc., which is headquartered in Columbus, has received tax abatement approval from the Anderson City Council and could bring up to 450 jobs to the area.
During a special meeting Wednesday, NTN Driveshaft Chief Executive Officer Jim Riggs said the first shipment could leave the new plants in less than two years.
The operation will be located on an 80-acre property near the Nestle plant. The company, which employs more than 1,500 throughout Columbus, says the new jobs could average around $46,000 per year.
NTN also has a presence in Frankfort.
