Subscribe NowThe University of Notre Dame has named Marie Lynn Miranda the Charles and Jill Fischer Provost provost. She served as provost of Rice University from 2015 to 2019 before stepping down due to a family illness. Miranda also spent four years on the faculty of the University of Michigan’s School of Natural Resources and Environment, where she also served as the Samuel A. Graham Dean of the school. She earned her doctoral and master’s degrees in economics from Harvard University and bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics from Duke University.
