Michael Pippenger will serve as vice president and associate provost for internationalization and Mike Seamon (pictured) has been promoted to vice president for campus safety and event management. Pippenger currently serves as dean of undergraduate global programs at Columbia University and is an assistant vice president for international education. He will succeed J. Nicholas Entrikin, who is retiring this summer. Pippenger will begin September 1. Seamon is currently associate vice president for campus safety at Notre Dame. He is the first person to be selected for this new position.He will lead Notre Dame Security Police, the Notre Dame Fire Department, the Risk Management and Safety Department and football Game Day Operations and emergency management. He previously served as director of sales and marketing for Major League Baseball’s Tampa Bay Rays. Seamon is a Notre Dame graduate.
