Nonstop Portfolio Grows Again at Indy Airport

Las Vegas-based Allegiant (Nasdaq: ALGT) added a new route between Indianapolis and Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport.
Flights are scheduled to begin April 8. The announcement came along with a total of 19 new routes for Allegiant.
Last week, Frontier Airlines also added a nonstop between Indianapolis and Philadelphia. Indianapolis Airport Authority Executive Director Mario Rodriguez hinted at the Savannah flight during an interview on Inside INdiana Business Television. The airport is climbing closer to four dozen nonstop or direct routes, more than at any other time in the last decade. He expects "a lot more" to come over the course of the year. The highest-profile direct flight Rodriguez mentioned that was under consideration was London Heathrow Airport.
