His background also includes executive roles at L-com Global Connectivity, Group Dekko and Alcoa, the news release said.
“We are excited to welcome Jon to the MPP team as we navigate the next chapter of our growth journey,” MPP Executive Chairman Antony Besso said in the release. “He is an accomplished CEO with a proven track record of driving strong financial results, instilling financial and operational discipline, and demonstrating inspirational leadership.”
Jensen replaced Dennis McKeen, who was with MPP for more than 17 years and is now the chief financial officer of Megatech, a precision machining company based in Canada.
Founded in 1948, MPP is a global provider of custom-engineered powder metal and metal injection molding. Since starting in Logan, Ohio, it now has manufacturing operations in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Suzhou, China, according to the company website.
In 2016, it was acquired by Millstein & Co., a diversified investment management and financial services firm based in New York. MPP is now a portfolio company of Millstein’s private equity arm, Mill Point Capital.
