NiSource removes ‘interim’ tag for NIPSCO president

Subscribe NowMerrillville-based NiSource Inc. has named Vince Parisi, who has been serving as interim president and chief operating officer of subsidiary Northern Indiana Public Service Co., to the position on a permanent basis.
Mike Hooper left the role earlier this month to serve as the president of Milwaukee-based We Energies and Wisconsin Public Service.
Parisi has served in the same role for NiSource subsidiary Columbia Gas of Ohio. His former role will be filled by Robert Heidorn.
“Vince has played a pivotal role in advancing a number of key business priorities on behalf of our
customers and the communities we serve across Ohio, and we’re confident he’ll do the same in
northern Indiana as we cement our position at the forefront of an industry transition into a diverse
menu of energy options,” said Melody Birmingham, NiSource executive vice president and group
president of NiSource utilities, in a news release.
Parisi previously served as the president of the U.S. utilities for AES Corp., and president and CEO of Indianapolis Power & Light Co., now AES Indiana, and Dayton Power and Light Co..
